Two big questions facing Corden as he launches his version of the CBS Late Late Show tonight:
1) Is he funny?
2) Will Americans get him?

Gen'l., I'm afraid you may have misread the forum's Terms Of Service...
There's no requirement that you post in a thread if the topic has no interest to you...

I'm interested in irrelevance. I like to read posts from Gob and your good self.

Well I stayed up, mainly because I wanted to see what he was like, and I think he is a taste that must be acquired. I'm not sure how many more times I will stay up unless there is a guest I really wanted to see.
FWIW, Ferguson was the first guy since Letterman (and I was a lot younger then) who could entice me to watch TV that late on a work night, and I have missed his show since it ended (I had hoped he would take over for Dave (I imagine he did to), but such was not to be.

And since he was passed over, he didn't want to hang around...
Perfectly understandable...

That and money; he reportedly got over $10 million when he was passed over. Quite enough to "pursue other projects".
