Storyline

It's a holiday weekend on the Jersey Shore and, unbeknownst to anyone, underwater drills have attracted dozens of albino bull sharks to the pier. When a man goes missing, TC (The Complication), Nookie and friends fear the worst and plead with the police chief to close down the beach. It isn't until a famous singer is eaten alive during a performance on the pier that the shark hunt begins. Now, the Preppies must work together with the Guidos in order to save the Jersey Shore and its inhabitants from another vicious slaughter.

I just caught some of this a little while ago on SciFi...It's been out since 2012, how could I have missed something as great as this? The acting, the writing, the special effects..it's in a class all it's own..

I can't believe this classic only gets a 3.0 IMDB rating:

They got Paul Sorvino to play the mayor...Paul must have really been hard up for cash...

Is that promo for real???? Some great actors in the cast - I'd watch it!

It really is quite watchable..

(If you take it in the campy "Everybody Run, The Homecoming Queen's Got A Gun" type approach ...)

There's one scene where one of the Guidos is showing off his "six pack" and a shark jumps on to the beach and grabs him...

And the chick he's showing off to, gets a blood spray that looks like it was sprayed from the nozzle of a garden hose...(which it probably was...)

The "Preppies" and the "Guidos" are so obnoxious and unsympathetic, I found myself rooting for the sharks...

(I just happened to catch a little of this early this morning on Scifi...(normally early in the morning when I have to get up to get work done, I just put on one of the cable news stations; but as I was flipping around the dial, I came across this..and it was so awful it drew me in.... )

We're going to have to watch the whole thing to give it a proper artistic evaluation...

Looks neat. But I have Sharknado II to watch first.
