oh yeah... classic.

I remember watching it on Halloween on tv, as a teen....

think Fort Apache-The Bronx..., but from the criminals POV

total gang warfare

it was pretty wild for the time..., we still fought with fists then...

It came out in the late 70's; I remember going to see it when I was in college...

It's a highly stylized flick about a NY gang being chased by several other gangs over one night in NYC ( a lot of it takes place in the NY subway system)

It's become something of a cult film...

Great movie. Big hit in Europe.

John Otway, on having a second UK top ten single said; "At last I can talk about my records, with the "s" on the right side of "hit".

My favorite part of the film was the gang called the "Baseball Furies" who dressed like ball players and carried bats. For some reason those images stuck with me. Here's a lik to a little of that part of the movie:

I was working in Bed Sty when they were filming some scenes for the movie. Mostly on Broadway under the EL, but also on Bushwick Ave by the projects.
A couple of guys that worked with me were extra's. Don't remember if they made it into the movie.

Can you dig it!?!?

OHHHH Warriors, come out and plaaayyyyy.
