A song for an aging LJ

For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

You're far too modest...

That's not a song for "aging"...

That's a song for "shoot myself in the head..."

Well, that's what some people here think you should DO when you're aging, isn't it?

Interesting song; I hadn't heard it before. Very.....sensual.

And, Jim...as with most Leonard Cohen songs, if you don't like his singing you can usually find a better, easier-to-listen-to, version (in this case, it's by Billy Joel). It's hard to believe that you don't like anyone's version of, say, "Hallelujah"...(Jeff Buckley) or "Everybody Knows" (Concrete Blond). :shrug (Hell, even "Suzanne" sounds great when sung by Judy Collins or Joan Baez.)

ETA: Poking around just now, I came across this kick-ass version of "Suzanne" by Nina Simone! (DAMN! I just DARE anyone to not like it!)
People who are wrong are just as sure they're right as people who are right. The only difference is, they're wrong.

It was released in 1992 on The Future. This 2012 recording is of the first time it was performed live.

Trivia: 1993 performance of the song, The Future
