Interesting song; I hadn't heard it before. Very.....

And, Jim...as with most Leonard Cohen songs, if you don't like his singing you can usually find a better, easier-to-listen-to, version (in this case, it's by
Billy Joel). It's hard to believe that you don't like
anyone's version of, say, "Hallelujah"...(
Jeff Buckley) or "Everybody Knows" (
Concrete Blond).

(Hell, even "Suzanne" sounds great when sung by Judy Collins or Joan Baez.)
ETA: Poking around just now, I came across this kick-ass version of "Suzanne" by Nina Simone! (DAMN! I just DARE anyone to not like it!)
