Amazon rip off.

Saw a book being promoted on Facebook, which I fancied buying

Amazon.uk
Kindle Edition
£7.40

Amazon.us
Kindle Edition
$7.76 (£5.80)

Of course the cheap fucks won't let me buy it off Amazon.us as my kindle is registered in the UK!

Now why on earth would it cost them 2 quid more to send it wirelessly to me from the UK?

Conning sods.

Attention fellow Plan B ers!!

I've set up a gofundme account for Gob. We need to collect $1.60 to help him with his unfair Amazon price. I already donated 22¢. He hasn't won any injury lawsuits in a while so it's understandable that he's carefully managing his money.

I'm counting on the generous people here. I know we can do it. Please... reach into your compassionate pocketbooks and give what you can.

This story is not about Mr. Gob, who is all over the place doing complaints, but rather RADICAL AMAZONIAN TERRORISM Get smartphones!

You do know that you do not own the content of your Kindle, that Amazon can remove individual books from your Kindle when ever they want?

It's not Amazon, it's the publishers.

JG, It appears Gob needs a little help and that's my forte. Unfortunately, I can't find his name on the GoFunMe site. Do I have the spelling correct? Do you have a link? Thanks.

While I was searching in hopes of alleviating his suffering I couldn't get Sarah McLachlan's "In The Arms Of An Angel" out of my head. Gob's plight is sad... sad, I tell ya'.

PS - those same publishers who were sued for colluding over how prices for e-books were determined . . . .

I got a nice chunk back from the settlement. I hope all the other e-book readers did as well.

Which is how you put new content on to the device. I don't believe you can do it via a cable any more.

The amazon.uk version probably has it with all the words misspelled in the manner to which you are accustomed (like "licence" for "license", and "whisky" for "whiskey"), and they needed to add all those 'U's to words like honor, favor, flavor, neighbor, and so on.  Then of course there's the matter of the substitution of complete words that you sods are so confused about — just for the record:  a "bonnet" goes on a lady's head, not on a car; the little baked item is a "cookie", not a "biscuit"; and "spotted dick" sounds like it should be a venereal disease but you blokes persist in claiming it is something that is meant to be eaten.

All this, of course, takes time and costs money; hence, your version will be a little pricier.

It would be the other way round Bill, it's an English book, written in proper English, by an English author.

I do make really tasty butter.
But I butchered the cow the other day so it will be while before I make more.

I pine for real butter. Rather I seek the by-product, butter milk. I love the stuff but only faked-with-chemicals is now available. It just does not taste the same.
