Sometimes it seems as though one has to cross the line just to figger out where it is

These admissions are going to haunt me forever.....

Slade -Wish it could be Xmas.....younger days of snog and run with random men in clubs under the mistletoe.

Chris De Burgh...A spaceman went Travelling...I know... I know....sad, sad,sad - it just reminds me of my childhood.

Band Aid.....It had all my hearthrobs in it when I was 14.

Why is it that when Miley Cyrus gets naked and licks a hammer it's 'art' and 'edgy' but when I do it I'm 'drunk' and 'banned from the hardware store'?

It was christmas eve babe
In the drunk tank
An old man said to me: won't see another one
And then they sang a song
The rare old mountain dew
I turned my face away and dreamed about you
Got on a lucky one
Came in eighteen to one
I´ve got a feeling
This year´s for me and you
So happy christmas
I love you baby
I can see a better time
Where all our dreams come true.

They got cars big as bars
They got rivers of gold
But the wind goes right through you
It´s no place for the old
When you first took my hand on a cold christmas eve
You promised me broadway was waiting for me
You were handsome you were pretty
Queen of new york city when the band finished playing they yelled out for more
Sinatra was swinging all the drunks they were singing
We kissed on a corner
Then danced through the night.

And the boys from the NYPD choir were singing Galway Bay
And the bells were ringing out for christmas day.

You´re a bum you´re a punk
You´re an old slut on junk
Lying there almost dead on a drip in that bed
You scumbag you maggot
You cheap lousy faggot
Happy christmas your arse I pray god it´s our last.

And the boys of the NYPD choir's still singing Galway Bay
And the bells were ringing out
For christmas day.

I could have been someone
Well so could anyone
You took my dreams from me
When I first found you
I kept them with me babe
I put them with my own
Can´t make it out alone
I´ve built my dreams around you

And the boys of the NYPD choir's still singing Galway Bay
And the bells are ringing out
For christmas day.

the Writer of "Do they Know it's christmas" recently apologized for it.
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.

Christ on a pogo stick, 35 years on and Maddy still sounds like an angel. Brought a tear to my eye.

On a barely related note, the co-writer of that song, Bob Geldof, has recently announced a charity rock concert to be held next year on the same scale as Live Aid.

This time however it will take place in Ethiopia with the proceeds going to Ireland.

Gaudete....How could i have forgotten that.....thats the first Xmas song i remember hearing..not necessarily by Steely Span, as long as its a decent choir. Gives me goose bumps.

Gaudete, gaudete!
Christus est natus
Ex Maria virgine,
gaudete!

Tempus adest gratiæ
Hoc quod optabamus,
Carmina lætitiæ
Devote reddamus.

Deus homo factus est
Natura mirante,
Mundus renovatus est
A Christo regnante.

Ezechielis porta
Clausa pertransitur,
Unde lux est orta
Salus invenitur.

Ergo nostra contio
Psallat iam in lustro;
Benedicat Domino:
Salus Regi nostro.
