Rave for an OLD show

Post by Jarlaxle »

Just found it on DVD: The Pretender, starring Michael T. Weiss, Patrick Bauchau, and Andrea Parker.

Just...wow. Nobody can pull off the ice queen like Miss Parker. (Six episodes in, I don't think she has smiled yet.)
Treat Gaza like Carthage.

I liked The Pretender, and I don't recall them once playing the Jackson Browne song. I think like a lot of network shows that actually have an interesting premise, they eventually ran short of good plots, they messed around with the characters a bit, and it became average. Overall, I'd rate it as B+ TV, but it definitely had some good episodes.
