Well, who will display a picture of Taras Bulba from Yul Brynner’s movie?
Don’t over do it we don’t want to give Meade a stroke.

Well, I am glad you didn’t give the old man a stroke, but that is John Wayne as Genghis khan not Yul Brynner as Taras Bulba . Both movies were made about the same time ,but Wayne’s was set on the Eastern
Steppes among the Mongolian cousins. This thread is about the greatness of my Indo-European ancestors. They domesticated the horse and changed the world. It is because of them that we have the world we have today.

You do know that he was a fictional character, right.

He's about as "true" and "relevant" as your relentless "my people" drivel.
"Your people" (if such a stupid term is to be used) came from Ethiopia/Kenya
Just like mine

If you didn’t despise southerners as traitorous scum so much you might know that the term “my people” refers to one’s family. And since there is no rules to how far back ones family can go I chose to go back to the steppes. There is where the family resemblance began and life on the steppes was ideal at least in the beginning after the horse and before over population.
I can feel confident that my ancestor came from the steppes because they where Caucasian and so am I, for the most part anyway, and they spoke an indo-European language and so do I. My people were great and came from the steppes and yours came from frogs and toads.

I'm surprised you aren't claiming that your Indo-European ancestors
(the 'I' in 'Indo-European is capitalized, btw) are descended from an off-shoot of a Germanic tribe known as the Aryans, who supposedly rose from early Cro-Magnon man — an allegedly superior race — and supplanted
(which is a nicer word than 'exterminated') the Neanderthal.
Hmmmm...... where have we heard
THAT kind of thinking before?

I believe you are referring to the NAZIs and their claim of being
Aryan. Their abuse of archeology and anthropology no more invalidities those sciences than their use of socialism invalidates it. And, I never quite understood the NAZI claim of being Aryan. I can’t see any remnant of blond hair and blue eyes among the descendants of Aryans. It would seem to me that the Slavs would more resemble the Aryan than the idealized Germanic. And the NAZI considered the Slavs sub-human only fit to be slaves.

In no way was I cutting down archaeology or anthropology. It's your fanatic bleating that *YOU*, at least, are descended from some Eurasian horde that swept across the steppes and most definitely are not related in any way to an African hominid known as "Lucy", despite what the great majority of anthropologist and archaeologists accept.
Which, in a way, strikes me as very similar to what Hitler and the Nazis attempted to do in creating the myth of the Aryan "super-race" ... based on Dr. Assien Bohmers, a Dutch archaeologist, and his assessment and interpretation of some fossil evidence found in a cave in Bavaria (the
Weinberghöhlen near Mauern) in 1937.
And just for the record ....
Anatomically modern humans (AMHs) are believed to have first emerged in East Africa some 100,000 to 200,000 years ago. According to this theory,
an exodus from Africa over the Arabian Peninsula around 60,000 years ago
brought modern humans to Eurasia, with one group rapidly settling coastal areas around the Indian Ocean and
one group migrating north to steppes of Central Asia. A mitochondrial
DNA sequence of two Cro-Magnons from the Paglicci Cave, Italy, dated to 23,000 and 24,000 years old, identified the mtDNA as haplogroup N,
typical of the descendants in Central Asia. The inland group is the founder of North and East Asians, Europeans, large sections of the Middle East, and North African populations.
Migration from the Black Sea area into Europe started some 45,000 years ago,
probably along the Danubian corridor. By 20,000 years ago, modern humans had reached the western margin of the continent.
(all emphasis mine ... and I've never heard of the Danube River system being described as 'steppes', either)
So while you do have some claim to having come "from the steppes" of somewhere on the vast Asian continent, y'all still started in Africa. Your tenure in Asia was just a waypoint.

according to the entry in Wikipedia, the Steppes are indeed the possible source of the domesticated horse, the chariot and the Indo-European language.
However, Caucasian is sourced in the Caucasian Mountains--rather South of the Steppes and a very different ecology.
My people came from Indian territory as squatters and invaders about 150 years ago in what is now modern Nebraska. I take no pride in the millions of 'my people' who are my ancestors from all over the globe after the last 100 thousand years.
Well, that is probably an exaggeration. Very unlikely that any of 'my people' lived very long in Antartica.

Well that's lib trounced once again.
If you didn’t despise southerners as traitorous scum
I reject the words "despise" and "scum" and "southerners". And "traitorous" in connection with the latter. So your sentence reads "If you didn't as".
Which makes more sense than your repeated claim that unknown people who died many thousands of years ago are "
your people" whereas their progenitors are not. (It's the possessive I despise)
And I am not one who considers alleged "hominids" to be ancestral pre-humans. I believe they are all failed monkeys/apes. But there is no doubt that humans came out of Africa.
