Back in 2013, after Maurice Sendak died, I looked around my bookshelf and decided I really ought to have a nice binding version of one of his books. So I went to Amazon and found something I thought I could afford. It was one of his children's books, in a special binding for libraries, made to stand up to the hard use of children actually enjoying the book. Amazon said it would be released soon. I order it.
Then they sent me notice that it would be held up for a little while, the release date was being rescheduled by the publisher.
Today I was reviewing my 'open orders' at Amazon and noticed after about five years, they now had a release date:
Chicken Soup with Rice Board Book: A Book of Months Board book – December 31, 2075
Perhaps I should mention this in my will, for potential great, great grandchildren.

I am not willing to pay more than forty dollars. The lower prices are all for paper backs. I hope it is worth the wait. I do have a guaranteed price from Amazon--much lower.
