Reconstruction on PBS

Post by Scooter »

Watching this amazing series on the African-American experience from the Civil War through the 20th century, with parallels through to the present day.

The use of media and popular culture to poison public opinion against the advancement of political and economic equality of African-Americans and the glorification of white supremacy finds eerie similarities to today.

Doesn't anyone watch the Lawrence Welk Show on PBS anymore?
