Re: Music for a pandemic
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

OOpsy!! I'll leave that stand...

Music for a pandemic
I enjoy the spirit of this song but when it's sung by white people it feels like cultural (mis)appropriation to me.
"I'm not racist -- I even sing "Rise Up" on YouTube with my mother just to show black people we're in tune with their struggles."

I shared this one on FB. Our vicar's husband said how much he enjoyed it. I wonder why?

Wow, that Azam Ali performance is great. I went looking for her other stuff and what I've heard so far is just stunning. Thanks for the introduction!
And honestly, in the previous post Lemme looks like he's just phoning it in.

The Marsh family has been putting out their pandemic-themed adaptations for months, but this is my favourite to date. Check out their YouTube channel for more.

Forked-tongued pharaoh, behold he comes to speak
Weeping in the Promised Land
Hissing and spewing, it's power that he seeks
Weeping in the Promised Land
With dread in their eyes, all the nurses are crying
So much sorrow, so much dying
Pharaoh keep a-preaching but he never had a plan
Weeping in the Promised Land
Weeping in the Promised Land
People who are wrong are just as sure they're right as people who are right. The only difference is, they're wrong.
