So songs with explicit lyrics about sex are vulgar and unacceptable but photos of nearly naked women and men are all good.

Weird community.

Weird that you state that. Naked, or near naked, men and women have been valued artistically since Roman times. I think it says more about your hangups than anything else....

Well at least now I know where I went wrong in my musical career.

But come on, wypipo losin they damn minds over some sexed up club song? Puh-leeese. You all Tipper Gore now?

Raunchy songs have always been a thing. Haven't you heard any blues cuts from the '30s? Didn't you yourself cheap thrill to Frank Zappa as a ute? Even otherwise "clean" acts routinely do filthy versions of songs when performing live at a club. The shock value is part of the fun. It's okay, you can loosen up a little.

No one is losing their mind. If people put stuff up here, other people are enabled to express their opinion. As you have done.

Maybe it's the difference between creative art and crap.

If it's crap, it's crap. That video is filthy crap. EOS.

You're entitled to your opinion, of course, the gusty bus being non-disputed and all. (After all, at the time of its premiere, one critic opined that Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto "stinks to the ear.") But that song is selling like crazy. Why do you hate capitalism?

I don't know. It's something visceral, I guess. All that capital floating about just out of reach. I wasn't aware that a pathetic obsession with using "shocking" language to provide self-validation was a tenet of the system though.

Now that video is filthy crap? That video is of a fully clothed woman signing a popular song for the benefit of folks who can’t hear. We may not like the song itself, but I can’t see how we start down a path of denigrating her.

I have no hang ups either with nudity or explicit song lyrics; I was commenting on the shock and distress expressed about this raunchy little song by men who are participating enthusiastically in a thread that involves posting nearly naked pictures of women and men, that’s all.

Who denigrated her? Not me. The song is filthy crap and it's on a video - hence the video is filthy crap. She'd do better refusing to bring such juvenile coprophilia to people fortunate enough to be unable to hear it*

As to my personal posting of pictures of handsome ladies, food substances and other pleasant images, since none of those are offensive to normal humans, shame eh?

Some normal humans ARE offended by pictures like the ones filling the posts on the eye candy thread, that’s my point.

You seem to take the approach that YOU are the standard of normal human, and if you think WAP is filthy crap, then all the millions of humans who enjoy it are not normal humans.

Massive ego or something going on there.

What the hell is WAP? OK just looked it up. The song is shite. Absolutely without redeeming value, beauty, art or wit

WAP must mean What A Pile

There's a difference between expressing ones opinion that a particular work is trash, and expressing outrage/offense about it. I don't see anyone complaining that the post should be taken down, just that the song content is trash. Which is an opinion. As is the content of the eye candy thread.

I rewrote the lyrics for Meade.....

(There's some respectable women in this house)
(There's some respectable women in this house)
(There's some respectable women in this house)
(There's some respectable women in this house)

I said, I'm a geek
Seven days a week
Cat sat in water
Got her tail wet, woo

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, you messin' with a wet butted cat
Bring a towel and a mop for this wet butted cat
Give me everything you got for this wet butted cat

Dry it off, black soul man, catch a mouse
Extra large and hide it in the house
Put this cat somewhere in your place
The mouse will get charged like a credit card
She will hop, look inside
There's a mouse and he's trying to hide
Don't look to the south, look over north
The cat's tail is wet, eating mice to survive
The mouse is running, it's surprised
The cat is wearing a disguise
She wants to eat that big fat mouse
Right in this little house
Make it scream, make a meme
Out in public, make a scene
Cats don't cook, They don't clean
And they don't eat just anything (ohh, ooh)

Gobble mouse, swallow mouse, she brought a piece of mouse to me
Thanks cat, but you won't see no mouse inside of me
Can't tell a cat where to put it, she don't listen anyway
She run down a mouse 'fore she have a mouse runnin' her
Talk your poop, sit on a stoop
Ask for a cat treat while you play that turbo cat toy (while you play that toy)
You really better never ask her for a mouse
She already made her mind up 'fore she came
To get that mouse outta yo house
She's a wet butted cat......
Hallelujah!!

I don't wanna spit, I wanna gulp
I wanna gag, I wanna choke
I want you to touch that little dangly dang
That swang in the back of my throat
Hmmm.. rather the sort of "rough sex", (aka rape,) that is much frowned upon by those of a feminist nature...

No, Gob, as long as SHE is asking for it, it's OK ... and heaven help YOU if you aren't able to deliver on demand.
Although I understand that you have to keep asking as the proceedings are going along if she is still providing consent.  And she DOES say no, you have to go from 60 to 0 even faster than you made it from 0 to 60.

That one is already covered...written by Sarah Durkee and Paul Jacobs, performed by Meat Loaf...Where The Rubber Meets The Road:
Somewhere some girl is crazy
And some boy's half out of his head
Somewhere somebody's fearless
And someone won't wind up dead
Somewhere two hearts are pounding
And they don't care what's correct
Somewhere somebody's fallin' in love
Without a background check...

Son, I'm Mr P.C.
Beleive you and me
I'm the ultimate king of correct
And if you wanna make it
You gotta make her take it
As a sign of your deep respect
If you're gonna do it
You gotta see through it
To the heavenly trust that it is
Then you can call her a slut
And you can call her a slave
Just remember to call her Ms...

Where the rubber meets the road
Welcome to protection mode
Used to be sex was a fine hello
Now the rubber meets the road

Ya say "Girl, you're a beauty
But I'm no beast
I got a little contract right here
See, you can slam on the brakes
Anytime you got the stick
Even if we're in fourth gear"
Cop in the front seat
Lawyer in the back seat
Gettin' it on videotape
Got a shrink in the bed
Lord, sittin' on the headboard
Swearin' that we both got raped...

Where the rubber meets the road
Welcome to protection mode
Used to be sex was a fine hello
Now the rubber meets the road
Where the rubber meets the road
Boy meets Girl then watch it explode
Yes means no means yes means no
Where the rubber meets the road!

Somewhere some girl is crazy
And some boy's half out of his head
Somewhere somebody's fearless
And someone won't wind up dead
Somewhere two hearts are pounding
And they don't care what's correct
Somewhere somebody's fallin' in love
Without a background check
Somewhere somebody's fallin' in love
Without a background check

Where the rubber meets the road
Welcome to protection mode
Used to be sex was a fine hello
Now the rubber meets the road
Where the rubber meets the road
Boy meets Girl then watch it explode
Yes means no means yes means no
Yes means no means yes means no
Yes means no means yes means no
Where the rubber meets the road
Where the rubber meets the road!...

Somewhere some girl is crazy
And some boy's half out of his head
Some where there's just the moment
Where all remains unsaid
Somewhere two hearts are pounding
And they don't care what's correct
Somewhere somebody's falling in love...
Treat Gaza like Carthage.

Young hot drunk peeps at the dance club love to bump grind twerk etc. to a catchy tune with in your face vulgar sexy raunchy lyrics.
