I remember hearing the news the next morning on my clock radio when the alarm woke me to get to school. Because I had older siblings who had grown up on Beatles music, I was probably more of a fan than most kids my age, and it felt like a kick in the gut. Being completely unable to find any meaning in such a senseless death was probably the beginning of the end of my religious faith.
