Friday Night Dinner

Post by Long Run »

If you're looking for a comedy that is most often hilarious, Friday Night Dinner fits the bill. It is and English show now on Amazon Prime and centers around a Jewish family's Friday night dinners (almost 100% secular). So, if you're tired of police procedurals, dramas, and your favorite baseball team has dispersed to various warm places, treat yourself to some laughs.

OK I watched episode 1 of this and found it far less than funny. Humor is very subjective. I recently found the Mindy Project which makes me laugh out loud at times. I confess that the humor is rather sophomoric.

Did it take you a bit to appreciate the humor on Dinners?

It definitely gets funnier as you get to know the characters.

Some great actors on it, her from Black books, and him from inbetweeners. Unfortunately the guy playing the dad died just the other day.
