I just say that Meatloaf died yesterday; he was 74. Not a surprise, he was always pretty heavy and had health problems, but it bummed me out. I saw him in concert twice--once in his heyday (late 70s) and again about 20 years later; both were good but I loved the early Meatloaf singing the Jim Steinman songs with an energy and intensity that was nearly unbelievable. At that time he put everything he had into his performance, and it showed. It calmed down later, but he still excelled many of the solo concerts I have seen. It's a sad day; RIP
ETA: From many reports, he died of complications from Covid, and he was a vocal anti-vaxxer. I'm not sure about either but, personally, I'll let hi work stand on its own; I wouldn't take medical advice from him any more than I would Keith Richards (or any other musician or entertainer.). If he did die of covid, it's a shame, but he reaped what he sowed. But I still mourn the loss.
