The Wasteland

Post by Gob »

Very good BBC documentary on the 100th anniversary of the publishing of T. S .Elliot's "The Wasteland". Watched it the other night, learned a few more things about the poetic enigma.

Poss /prob not available outside UK?

From your link:
BBC iPlayer only works in the UK. Sorry, it’s due to rights issues.
At least they're sorry.

Gosh, he does bang on, that Elliot, don't he just? A few days with E.T. and he's all over "Co co rico co co rico".

Actually I thought Peter Straub's "Koko" was better. Waste no part of the animal . . . very good advice.
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts
