Tortured cop investigating horrible child murder. Written by the guy who wrote Trainspotting. Acted fantastically by Dougray Scott and ensemble cast. So very Scottish and so very good!

For me, it is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring.
