I finally got around to watching this most recent Terence Davies film I had in my watchlist and felt compelled to recommend it here.
It’s not always easy to watch, but it is stunning and well deserving the 93% fresh rating on RT.
If you can’t be comfortable with LGBTQ themes then stay away, but if you’re mature and tolerant you will be rewarded by a beautiful, elegiac film that pays tribute to the souls lost in the Great War and those who endured the pain of surviving it. And, of course, there is poetry.

I saw it a while back and agree, it is well worth watching.
