The Trump-Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts

It wasn't enough that D. J. "Dishonest John" Trump removed and replaced the board of directors of the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in February of this year, replacing them with a hand-picked list of sycophants and designating himself as the chairman — no, when it came time for the Kennedy Center Honors this year the list of honorees read like a list of "My Favorite People"... Sylvester Stallone, Gloria Gaynor, George Strait, the rock band Kiss, and Michael Crawford. (Wait.... Michael Crawford?? He ain't even American!!) He ever went so far as to call them "perhaps the most accomplished and renowned class ever assembled".
But even that wasn't enough for him. Today I awoke to find that numerous sources are reporting that the same group of lickspittles, led by the Chief Grifter himself, has voted unanimously — you know, sort of like the same way Kim Jong Un or the leader of any banana republic gets 'elected' as Supreme Ruler of their little shithole? — to rename the building as the "Trump — Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts"... and of course, despite the fact that his knowledge of the performing arts starts with a half-assed job hosting a TV reality show and ends with a walk-on cameo in a thirty-odd year old movie that he negotiated as part of the deal to allow the filmmaker to shoot scenes in his building, the name of America's greatest embarrassment since Benedict Arnold now comes before Kennedy's. I'm sure the new name is being installed on the facade even now — no doubt with the Trump name in faux-gold leaf and twice as large as the rest of the sign.
Well, all I can say is that when January 2029 rolls around, there's going to be a lot of metal signage and bronze placques, like the ones installed beneath the portraits of his predecessors along his 'Presidential Walk of Fame' in the corridor leading to the West Wing of the White House, that will be removed and in the hands of scrap dealers across the country.
