Yep Gob, that's something Jimmy Page gets constantly ribbed about and has in fact admitted. His defence is that he didn't do it deliberately. In a way I can understand it. It's easy to have a riff in your head and for it to come out in a composition without realising it. Mind you, the usual thing is to listen back to it, say "Bollocks! That's from song x" and get rid.

The other thing one must never do is to reprimand Mr Page for not acknowledging the 'theft' to Mr California. This is something that makes him quite angry. He says he had spoken to Randy when the similarities were first pointed out but that Randy was happy just to be involved in the creation of a legend. Later of course, California denied any contact had ever taken place.

I'm just surprised that Jimmy isn't being accused of drowning the bugger too...
