Although Dodd was best known for his stand-up comedy routine — think tickling stick and wild haystack hair, backed up by a relentless stream of one-liners and jokes about jam butty mines — he also had a string of hits in the early Sixties including Happiness, which became his signature tune.
Still performing at the age of 82, he is currently on the road with his Happiness Show. Next stop, Telford.
