I liked Benidorm but haven't even heard of World of Pub.

Why is it that when Miley Cyrus gets naked and licks a hammer it's 'art' and 'edgy' but when I do it I'm 'drunk' and 'banned from the hardware store'?

Benidorm is brilliant. Fab characters completely over the top in every way.

It's got a cracking cast as well!Barry and Garry run a pub in the West End of London. Each week their friend, certified cockney geezer Dodgy Phil, comes up with scheme to attract more punters. Friday Night Dinner is a British television sitcom written by Robert Popper and starring Tamsin Greig, Paul Ritter, Simon Bird, Tom Rosenthal and Mark Heap. The comedy is focused around the regular dinner experience of an English Jewish family (the Goodmans) on each Friday night. The first series aired from February 2011 on Channel 4. Moone Boy is an Irish sitcom created, co-written by and starring Chris O'Dowd for British broadcaster Sky. Just seeing that still from Friday Night Dinner reminded me... I did catch part of an episode at some point. It obviously didn't grab me enough to seek it out again...

World of Pub, lovely gentle surreal comedy, with a few good observational laughs added in.
They only did 6 episodes, but any more and it could have got a bit too samey.

Just watched series one. Funny, and some great characters. Will probably buy the box set to see how it develops.

I've just started Moone Boy - it's zany and fun! 
For me, it is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring.
