Benidorm is brilliant. Fab characters completely over the top in every way.

Look out for the fantastic Madge.

Never seen the other one though.

Here is the plot summary courtesy of IMdB:
Barry and Garry run a pub in the West End of London. Each week their friend, certified cockney geezer Dodgy Phil, comes up with scheme to attract more punters. For example, turning the pub into a Michael Caine-themed restaurant, or making it a pub-cum-bookshop. Usually this ends in disaster and the pub is destroyed. In the meantime numerous film references are dropped Written by Richard Smeltzer

Just seeing that still from Friday Night Dinner reminded me... I did catch part of an episode at some point. It obviously didn't grab me enough to seek it out again... :)

World of Pub, lovely gentle surreal comedy, with a few good observational laughs added in.

They only did 6 episodes, but any more and it could have got a bit too samey.
