Two very different takes on Billy Joel...one sweet, one heartbreaking. Without changing a word.

That last one could've also gone in the "Eye Candy" thread.

Wow, Meade, that was something. Are you a big fan of Dory?

I feel Andre was being very supportive of her vocal stylings.

Yes, Ray. I was a fan. Shame I had to leave all my vinyl in the USA in 2009, never to be seen again.

Maybe this has already been a topic here I don't recall. I was so surprised to see what an extremely talented musician Steve Martin is.

Musician, playwright, actor, comedian, raconteur.

Yes, too much talent for one person.

Here's one of my old favorites that I'd bet Jarlaxle would like. Unfortunately, there's no live performance in existence so it's only audio:

You can watch this nonexistent video if you'd like.

Fuck you!

Thanks, Ray. That non-existent video isn't a live performance but it's much better than audio only.

Love Affair's Steve Ellis (had to look his name up) didn't have a bad voice but the rest of the band was crap. So much so that none of them played on the record which made it to No 1 in the UK. It was session musicians all the way.

The following version was being played on the radio here in the SF Bay Area at the same time as the above version. I don't recall that happening with any other songs. Of course, I can't recall a lot of things from the 60s...70s....80s...90s....2000s

If you can remember the '60s... you weren't there.

Of course, that's not true. As much as I look fondly upon that era, if I could change anything it would be how I behaved while living through it. I totally destroyed my short term memory.

Besides that, I really destroyed my short term memory.
