We're Going To See The Hobbit Tomorrow....

Post by Lord Jim »

Just myself and Tati. (Had a bad experience with Jimmy when we brought him to see Frankenweenie...I took him Tati, and one of her girlfriends from school...About 30 minutes in, he starts covering his hands over his ears...there were a lot of kids at this showing...and fussing really bad. I finally had to leave the girls and take him home and come back....There's no way he'd make it through a three hour movie...at 3, I think he's just a little too young for the movie thing.)

Has anybody here seen it yet? (Don't worry about spoilers; I read the book... 8-) )

Not seen it yet, looking forward to seeing it once the hype/queues have died down.

It's been out for over a week now, and we're going to an early showing so I'm hoping it won't be all that packed....

A couple friends of mine saw The Hobbit last week and loved it so much that they want to see it again.

That's quite a compliment for a three hour movie...

Hobbit my arse! I have my orders and tomorrow am going to see Wreck-it Ralph.
Why is it that when Miley Cyrus gets naked and licks a hammer it's 'art' and 'edgy' but when I do it I'm 'drunk' and 'banned from the hardware store'?

BTW, we saw it in 3-D, which isn't necessary to enjoy it, but works really well for the film....

(For those thinking about going to see it a second time, I'd recommend it)

I read the book so many years ago. The book sucked IMO so I won't go see the movie (but then again I rarely go to the movies anyway).
Glad you liked it LordJim

I find it difficult to live in SA and hear about all these wonderful movies ages before they swim across the equator. I shall look forward to "The Hobbit" but more for the extended DVD that is sure to follow, perhaps even before I die. Goodness! If the movie is three hours, how long will the eDVD be????
