His music is more folk rock than it is country. He seems like the the type that will eventually try different styles and experiment with sounds. I hate it, but I'm sure we will see comparisons to Dylan or Springsteen, but I guess that's some people's way of saying someone has an 'original' or 'individual' style.Gob wrote:Sounds too country for my tastes.
Even if it meant missing Kenny Rogers?Yep love Jake Bugg, he's one of the acts I will definitely be attending at Glasto.
I notice (on that poster showing all the stages and acts) that Jake Bugg and Kenny Rogers are both on the big stage, the Pyramid Stage (the one with the Stones, Mumford&Sons, Arctic Monkeys, Nick Cave, Elvis Costello, et al.)...probably to avoid just that problem!Lord Jim wrote:Even if it meant missing Kenny Rogers?Yep love Jake Bugg, he's one of the acts I will definitely be attending at Glasto.

So does Adele she sounds somewhat like Taylor Swift. Broaden your horizons Gob; I for example like everythihg from Dr. Hook to Conway Tweety. Control your prejudges and learn to love Achy Breaky Heart.Gob wrote:Sounds too country for my tastes.
Could some one post a link to Achy Breaky Heart for Gob; he has been culturally deprived.Gob wrote:Broaden my horizons?

What is this hostility that some liberals seem to have toward country music. I remember when Von Jovi released a hit country song ; he was as much as accused of being a traitor by the red haired liberal on the View. I can understand not fancying a type of music. I don’t like rap. But I wouldn’t say I hate it even though it does cause harm to our society with its message hate and violence and rape.Guinevere wrote:Adele doesn't have a twangy-country bone in her body.
