You know I normally do not have a great deal of good to say about US comedy, (especially Afro American comedians,) well we've been watching Modern Family, and it's fucking hoot!

I know it's probably old hat over there now, jumped the shark even, but are there any US fans of it here. I'd be interested in views on it.

I've only caught one episode of Modern Family but quite liked it and keep meaning to watch more...

Other US comedies I'm enjoying right now are Glee and The Big Bang Theory.

Is it possible? Is American comedy finally becoming funny? :o

:nana :D ;)

Modern Family is one of Hatch's favs.

She loves the gay couple. She particularly loved the episode where they locked their baby in the car. "Quick you have to help us. Our baby is locked in the car and people are judging us."

Somebody over there must have heard of them. :D
Mad Men and Modern Family won the Emmy awards for the best TV drama and comedy series respectively at the Primetime Emmy Awards, while Jim Parsons and Edie Falco took home major acting trophies.

"We are so thrilled that families together are sitting down and watching a TV show," said executive producer Steve Levitan after Modern Family beat Glee for the top comedy honors.

My wife has become a "Doc Martin" addict and begun infecting all of her friends too ...

I haven't heard of those other shows but I get up early and get home late so there's little time for TV viewing.

Gob and I are huge Doc Martin fans as well. We have been to Port Isaacs where the series is filmed. Usually when we are going to or from Padstow after eating at one of Rick Stein's restaurants.
