I just recently got my hands on an almost uncut copy of Ken Russell's screen adaptation of Aldous Huxley's The Devils of Loudon and John Whiting's The Devils. The film has been highly controversial since it came out, so I am wondering what others here think of it.

Gosh I saw that years ago when it was released in the UK - mainly for the well thumbed parts of course. I thought (then) that it was mildly interesting and enjoyed the wasps (was it) under the glass jars bit. Mainly it seemed all a bit over the top and silly; but that's Ken Russell for you. Didn't feel the need to see it again. These days I think it is probably outdated but maybe not. Not nearly as enjoyable as 'Life of Brian', 'JC Superstar' or even the "Last Temptation" which was provocative. Hope you enjoy it
