Interesting looking movie..

The next piece of clothing has just dropped to the floor in one of the slowest strip teases in cinematic pre-release marketing; the first trailer for ‘Nympomaniac’ has been released.
Since first being announced in 2011, Nyphomaniac has courted controversy because of its sexually explicit content where Von Trier has chosen to eschew the usual stimulated scenes in order to be more authentic.
Director Lars Von Trier is one of the great and most analysed filmmakers of this generation. Controversial, his unique vision challenges audiences and pushes cinematic boundaries. In a medium currently drenched with big budget films that aim to court the middle of the road, he asks his audience to leave their usual comfortable tinsel-town expectations to enter a world where he confronts themes of violence and sex, treading a line which would trip into exploitation if not for his deft hand. His movies are awkward first date fare, but they plunge to levels rarely seen elsewhere.
With a management style supposedly akin to Kevin Rudd, he has been known to push his actors, particularly his female leads, into uncomfortable positions. He has had well publicised falling outs with former leading ladies Bjork and Nicole Kidman but has formed an enduring relationship with Charlotte Gainsbourg, who takes the lead again in this film.
From the details released about the script, the story centres around a self-diagnosed nymphomaniac, played by Gainsbourg, who recounts her life journey to the man who rescues her after a brutal beating.
This first trailer shows a younger and more innocent version of Gainsbourg character receiving advice on seduction. It's ominous not just for what is shown but because it seems to single the start of a dissent.
The film stars Charlotte Gainsbourg, Shia LaBeouf, Jamie Bell, Uma Thurman, Willem Dafoe, Stellan Skarsgård, Christian Slater, and Connie Nielsen.
It will be released in December, which will see it competing for the cinema-goer dollar with the second instalments of Anchorman and The Hobbit. This film will not be simple popcorn fodder.
