Seeing "Desiderata" posted in another thread today, reminded me of this Nat Lamp parody version; (I used to have the poster on my bedroom wall when I was in High School; I was pretty much born cynical... ) :

Great minds think alike, Jim...and apparently so do you and I. I am embarrassed to admit that as soon as I saw "Desiderata" I was reminded of "Deteriorata"
