I think we are still waiting for fafhrd to put up a new quote as, by my count, he got the last correct answer.

yes fafhrd, please continue.

I was just amusing myself.

I m gonna get one fair and square eventually, even tho I haven t really watched movies in a long time.

I saw Elisabeth back around 1999-2000, and I ve seen the Lord of the Rings/hobbit movies.

I ve guessed the right character/actor twice now, just from context and wording, so I m doing well by the low standard that I have set for myself.

I didn't have a quote ready. Sorry!

On a more serious note...

I can't remember the name of the film, or the actress involved, but I have a vague recollection of the line and the scene...

I think it's from a classic scene in a movie from the 30's or 40's where the actress slightly hikes up her skirt to get a car to stop while she's stranded on the roadside...

It was considered very "risque" for its time...

Not good enough to remember the name of the damn movie...

But perhaps that will help jog somebody else's memory...

Hint: It's a REALLY old movie, much older than even you, LJ. ;)

BSG, if you know the answer why don't you just say it girl, and give us a new film quote? 8-)

Okay; but to be totally honest, while I was pretty sure I knew the answer right away, I did Google to confirm, so I feel a bit like I cheated. Saw the movie several years ago when I used Netflix to treat myself to a Capra-thon:

Now give me 5 minutes to decide on another movie quote . . .

Some men get the world. Others get ex-hookers and a trip to Arizona.

That wouldn't be "Raising Arizona", would it?

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

No, but that was a logical guess. Good try!
