Rugby Video: One reason, among many, why rugby is brilliant
This is ace. After a flare-up in the 17-17 draw between Scarlets* and Leinster on Friday, Nigel Owens wants to sort it out. Unfortunately, neither of the linesmen saw what went on so Big Nige decides to solve the problem in his own way by calling in all 30 players for a lilting-voiced bollocking.
This is made all the better by the ref's mate and TV co-host Jonathan Davies giving him a serious ribbing from the commentary box. [via Rugby Dump]
“If you trust in yourself, and believe in your dreams, and follow your star. . . you'll still get beaten by people who spent their time working hard and learning things and weren't so lazy.”
Nigel is a VERY nice bloke, a few years ago I contacted him on Facebook about getting an autographed copy of his book for my son who was thinking of taking up reffing he private messaged me back with his home address and telephone number and we exchanged a few messages about tips for Xeno, he offered any help he could if Xeno wanted to train with the WRU. Several times since then we have exchanged a few tweets and pm's on facebook and he sent Xeno a very nice personal message for his wedding card. He is a top bloke, very funny and seems to have time for everyone. A real "hero" in my eyes.
If you can keep your head while those around you are losing theirs, you may have misjudged the situation.
