Name That Movie!
Re: Name That Movie!
and it has a play on a name that I'm ashamed to say didn't immediately jump out at me.
Name That Movie!

“If you trust in yourself, and believe in your dreams, and follow your star. . . you'll still get beaten by people who spent their time working hard and learning things and weren't so lazy.”

I'd say that was a good guess, but I'm not a big fan of lying just to spare another person's feelings...

Friendly Persuasion

For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts
Re: Name That Movie!

I have a clue that I think will completely give it away, but before I use that one, I'll try one more quote:
Actually, I'll make it two:A woman's shoulders are the front lines of her mystique
You gotta keep yourself small. Innocuous. Be the little guy.

Ain't it odd how one obscure quote from an obscure movie is supposedly made more clear by the production of two even more obscure quotes. Probably one could quote the title and most of us would still be none the wiser.
We want more "No, I am your father" stuff! (spoiler: Empire Strikes Back)

Actually it's not true. They do get off the ground again. Thousands of Monarch butterflies are caught and tagged every year to study their migration routes and success. They range from Canada to Mexico. See http://monarchwatch.org/tagmig/tag.htm and click around the website.
If you see an unsuccessful Monarch with a little dot on its wing splattered against your windshield, grab your magnifying glass and report its tag number as shown.
I have no idea what movie the misinformation is from. Do I win a consolation prize?

Yeah, well it seemed a little insulting to use stuff like "Frankly my dear I don't give a damn" or "every time a bell rings an angel gets his wings"...(I did use "rosebud" once....)MajGenl.Meade wrote:Ain't it odd how one obscure quote from an obscure movie is supposedly made more clear by the production of two even more obscure quotes. Maybe for this (not obscure) movie I should have pasted a whole soliloquy rather than just a couple of sentences...
But I didn't think the objective was, "Okay, let's see just how incredibly easy we can make this"...

Anyway, if nobody gets it after this, Big RR, you might as well just go ahead and take it:

I have heard of this movie, and it had a pretty good box office and you can see it from time to time in tv replays. But I have never seen it. This is definitely not an obscure movie and anyone who had seen the movie probably could have guessed it by now.
Re: Name That Movie!
It's pretty much impossible to imagine that anyone who has seen this movie won't get it from that last clue...

Re: Name That Movie!

I know this is an incorrect answer, I liked the movie.....................................so there.

Your collective inability to acknowledge this obvious truth makes you all look like fools.

True, it's not obscure, but it is almost 20 years old. I can't remember any quotes from the movie I just watched (for the second time!) an hour ago, let alone a movie I may have seen 20 years ago. Though in this case, I haven't seen the movie- not my type, and likely not the type for most on this board. If you want an idea of what kind of movies the folks on this board HAVE seen, just look at the wrong answers. I've seen a far, far higher percentage of the wrong answer movies than the ones quoted.
