Re: Name That Movie!
dales has it.
The model kit (in dale's illustration) was produced because of the subsequent QM Productions TV show, not the movie. The aircraft were modeled in 1/157 scale (almost the same as N-scale if you're into model railroading) and if you took the time and did it right it made for a very interesting looking piece, as all three aircraft (when assembled) would be held aloft on clear plastic pedestals in a staggered-V formation above an injection-molded base. Decals of falling bomb strings were provided which were intended to be applied to the sides of the pedestals so it looked like the bombers were dropping their payloads onto an industrial target.
(and it's kind of obvious that I had one of these kits myself, which is why I can describe it so vividly)

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

We've got to have rules and obey them. After all, we're not savages. We're English! And the English are best at everything!

So I screwed up; I shouldn't have answered because I am going to my mother's tomorrow and I will be gone for a week, and she does not have internet access. So I will post a quote, and I will PM dales the name of the film (since he is not allowed to guess), along with two additional quotes and some clues that he can post at his discretion.
Sorry, dales for loading this on you. Alternatively, if you don't want to be bothered, just take another turn yourself.
And the quote:

And the quote:
You don't know how lucky you are, you know. Everybody wants to go to Des Moines. People come from all over the world just to get one look at Des Moines before they die.

No.....Scooter PM-ed me with the title of the movie.
(I'm not taking another turn as he said I could.)

Re: Name That Movie!
I got this one, seen it at least 20 times one of my all-time favorite movies:

The line is spoken by Debra Winger's character to her second son, who is crying about moving to a new home because of his father's academic career. I could probably identify most any quote from the film. Damn I think I'm going to go watch it again now . . .

I was forced to watch that movie once....
I managed to stay awake almost through the whole thing...
The quote sounded familiar, but I've done such a good job of blocking that flick out of my memory I couldn't place it...

For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts
Re: Name That Movie!
This is a different kind of army. If you look back through history you will see men fighting for pay, for women, for some other kind of loot. They fight for land, power, because a king leads them, or just because they like killing. But we are here for something new, this has not happened much, in the history of the world. We are an army out to set other men free. America should be free ground, all of it, not divided by a line between slave states and free - all the way from here to the Pacific Ocean. No man has to bow. No man born to royalty. Here we judge you by what you do, not by who your father was. Here you can be something. Here is the place to build a home. But it's not the land, there's always more land. It's the idea that we all have value - you and me. What we are fighting for, in the end, we're fighting for each other.

Re: Name That Movie!
I don't recognize the quote but it sounds like it's from a Civil War epic like "Glory".
So I'll call that, strictly as a stab in the dark.
