Why is it that when Miley Cyrus gets naked and licks a hammer it's 'art' and 'edgy' but when I do it I'm 'drunk' and 'banned from the hardware store'?
Re: LMAO - NSF PETA
Then please keep them up there with the Cane Toads and I'll promise to keep the Indian Mynah birds down here.

The clips, you admittedly, haven't watched? About the animals from another continent, you have no personal experience with? The Hen wrote:And for the fourth time, those clips have nothing to do with the clip you found so amusing.
They have nothing to do with your clip.

Re: LMAO - NSF PETA
Injury? Not likely;
Why do squirrels have bushy tail
Squirrels are probably one of the most well-known family of rodents indigenous in North and South America, Eurasia, as well as Africa. They are often described as small to medium-sized furry animals that has big and bushy tail. However, not all squirrels have tail and it also differ depending on the kind of squirrel. But for those who have them, it has been proven that the tail is more than just an added attraction to the critter. In fact, the tail serves many purposes for the very survival of the squirrel.
For most species, squirrels are recognized as expert tree climbers and high-wire acrobats (usually sighted balancing and walking on top of telephone lines). Squirrels are able to do these death defying acts without injuring themselves because of the help of their long and fluffy tail. The tail helps the squirrel to balance and maneuver itself as they climb and jump from one tree to another, or in crossing clothesline and other similar settings. And when squirrels do fall, the tail is used as a parachute to lessen the impact of the fall thus preventing it from acquiring serious fall injuries.
Re: LMAO - NSF PETA
Oh geez...
LoCa, these squirrels didn't "fall"....
They were, hurled, catapulted; like a sling shot...completely by surprise, tumbling in the air....
There's a difference...

Re: LMAO - NSF PETA
So, a surprise fall, is different in comparison to a surprise fling, how?

The difference is this...loCAtek wrote:So, a surprise fall, is different in comparison to a surprise fling, how?
Watch a baseball pitcher throw a 98 mph fastball and hit the batter at home plate.
Watch that same baseball pitcher drop the same baseball on his foot.
Compare results.

Well, velocity and trajectory occur to me as two major ones, right off the bat....So, a surprise fall, is different in comparison to a surprise fling, how?
I'm sorry LoCa, but I'm with Dale here....
You're just diggin' yourself a deeper and deeper hole on this...
It's time to stop diggin'...
I realize that this is difficult to do, because I'm sure that you probably feel somewhat "besieged" in this discussion by some folks that you have running battles with, (and I would say that the use of the word "sociopath" was probably not helpful in terms of reaching a resolution to this) so the natural human impulse in that situation is to just stand your ground, come hell or high water....
But I have to tell you, that as far as this discussion goes, even for folks who haven't had that board-wide narrative going on with you, (like myself and Dale) the water is getting really high....
I would like to associate myself entirely with Dale's comment:
Give it a rest, Lo.

Re: LMAO - NSF PETA
Actually, in reality, their changes of surviving a fling, as opposed to a fall, are greater, because they are NOT being hurled directly at the ground ... like say, when their hormones tell them to leap before they look, 'eh?
Ya'll know, that's why stones skip, right? The angular trajectory of projectile-ation (yea, I made that up, instead of just saying 'throwing' ...because that's boring, bleh) makes any object, living, dead or inanimate, bounce, rather than thud, rather harmlessly.
Add to that: the NATURAL tendency of squirrels to remain limp, instead of bracing for impact; and their innate, instinctive, evolution of parachute tails, means their chances for survival; as proven by, I dunno, EONS of falling outta trees, for-like-ever, straight down, curtsey of that Universal Law of Gravity ...pretty gosh-darn high.
Shoot, humans do it on occasion.
Yea, we're not made for surviving aerial stunts, but it happens ...when we revert to our inner arborealism (no, I didn't make that up. That really is a word, trust me!)
...and go limp on the fly.
Babies are known for living through planes crashes and the like, because they don't know any better, to get tense about their impending doom.
Adults walk away from tornados, if they're knocked unconscious, and stay loose.
It's been documented, of people being thrown for miles by ferocious winds, AND living, if they just stay squirrelly!
