"The Day The Earth Stood Still"?

Your collective inability to acknowledge this obvious truth makes you all look like fools.

No...

Once again, given the answer Ray gave, I suspect he knows the answer... ;)

Wow!!! I'd like to thanks my friends and family for all their support in helping me achieve this!

My quote;
“Come on up, boys
-I'm dead.”
ETA:
"Here's your arsenic, dear. And your weedkiller biscuit."
“If you trust in yourself, and believe in your dreams, and follow your star. . . you'll still get beaten by people who spent their time working hard and learning things and weren't so lazy.”

I suspect that Ray is doing what I've been occasionally doing: when I see a quote and have NO FUCKING IDEA what movie it's from, even with clues, I sometimes Google to find the answer and then sit back and watch the guessing game. That way I can root for a competitor who's getting close...and of course, that also enables me to get Ray's sly little jokes. (The few that I have correctly answered, of course, I've answered without cheating...and once I've found a particular quote by cheating I refrain from pretending to guess.)

This is an actual theatrically released film, right?

Not something you and your mates shot with a super eight in '79 while you were loaded hanging out near the train tracks in Barmouth... 8-)

Might as well be

Just consider the source.... (And no, I had no idea, I looked it up)

That is a crap clue, but a very funny one.

Okay, I also looked this up, and since Strop didn't add any clues today, I'm going to add some (though there's still probably no way in hell anybody is going to get this; the original has a whopping 18 user reviews on IMDB; the remake has 3)

The original is probably the least known Richard Burton/Liz Taylor vehicle (I've never seen it and had never even heard of it) and also features one other very well known actor, who has starred in a number of movies that have appeared in this thread.

Probably the best Burton movie ever made, Liz Taylor had no right to be in it and was awful.

Just to give it away;
To begin ...at the beginning.
“If you trust in yourself, and believe in your dreams, and follow your star. . . you'll still get beaten by people who spent their time working hard and learning things and weren't so lazy.”

Yeah, there'll be a mad dash to answer this after that clue, that's for sure... :P

Here's one more:

The remake was shot in two languages; English and an obscure arcane language of little practical use.... 8-)
