Oh, you must be referring to Every Which Way But Loose!

I fear the day that Strop wins this contest...
We'll be looking at a quote from some Welsh indy film with English subtitles that played for three weeks in six art theaters in Wales and never even made it to video...

Re: Name That Movie!
I think it was a more modern gangster/crime movie--Chinatown?
Re: Name That Movie!
Pulp Fiction?
(BTW, I probably should have warned Meade when I posted that Claudette Colbert picture...probably a little too obscene for his sensibilities...

Nah, she's OK. It's that image next to Kasich that's a little too...

I'm sure Meade was aware of MajGenl. "Fighting Joe" Hooker's gaggle of camp followers (and for that matter there were probably more than a couple "women of negotiable virtue" in Meade's own retinue); if his sensibilities could tolerate that then I doubt that your image of Ms. Colbert even caused him to blink.Lord Jim wrote:(BTW, I probably should have warned Meade when I posted that Claudette Colbert picture...probably a little too obscene for his sensibilities...)

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

Re: Name That Movie!
An interesting bit of trivia about that scene...
At that point in her career, Claudette Colbert had decided she no longer wanted to be seen as a sex symbol; she wanted instead to be A Serious Actress. So she refused to do the skirt-lifting required in that scene. Capra psyched her out by having the casting director send him a chorus girl with shapely legs to "double" for Colbert's leg...and when Colbert saw the double's leg she told Capra, "Get her out of here! I'll do it. That's not my leg!"

People who are wrong are just as sure they're right as people who are right. The only difference is, they're wrong.

It's definitely one of the best of all time - a pleasure to watch time and again

OK, this is from a while back:
A: Do you prefer nymphs to satyrs?
B: I like both, Lord.
A: One needs both, yes, to keep healthy.
