Name That Movie!
Re: Name That Movie!
Thanks to that last clue, I finally got it...
I never saw the movie, (not much for horse films) but I've heard of it and I remember the title...
Based on that clue, surely somebody else will also get it...

Re: Name That Movie!
and this movie makes another appearnace. good quote Jim.
Re: Name That Movie!
The first one stating the title was Crackpot, although it's apparent that others knew it was Hidalgo.
I enjoyed the movie when it was new. I think Guin did too. I didn't know who Viggo Mortensen was before Hidalgo, but it wasn't his first rodeo.
Take it away Crackpot.

T's Mum: And you've got BOTH axes?
T: Yes, Mother.
T's Mum: And something to sharpen them with?
T: Yes, Mum.
T's Mum: And don't forget: never let your enemy get behind you.
T: No, Mother.
T's Mum: And keep your sword greased.
T: Yes, Mother. Goodbye, Dad.
T's Dad: And don't forget to wash - you know - ALL over.
T: No, Dad.
T's Mum: And if you have to kill somebody, KILL them! Don't stop to think about it.
T: I never do...

It sounds very Monty Pythonish, but I can't place the quote in any particular movie.

Re: Name That Movie!
If it's the movie I think it is, it's nowhere near as clever as Monty Python.

Or a Mel Brooks-type take on "Conan the Barbarian" or others in the leather-and-loincloth genre.Scooter wrote:It sounds very Monty Pythonish, but I can't place the quote in any particular movie.

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

Death is Nature's way of telling you to slow down.

Ah, so 2 of the Monty Python crew are in it.

I'd say a Fish called Wanda, but there was only a Mum in that one, and not a Dad.

Sounds more like Eric the Viking... :p
Why is it that when Miley Cyrus gets naked and licks a hammer it's 'art' and 'edgy' but when I do it I'm 'drunk' and 'banned from the hardware store'?
