Then on the other hand, why change next November, just leave them alone.

That has been my preference for many years.

As one of the few defenders of changing the clocks twice a year, I still like to have daylight during the day; when the days are longer, we can extend it into the evening by turning the clocks ahead, when they are shorter, we turn the clocks back. I'd rather have the sun rise in the early morning and set in the afternoon, than to have it rise in the mid to late morning so we could have one more hour of sunlight in the early evening.

We just had the start of sun rise as I was driving to work. (6:15-7:00am). Got over the rising sun making it look like everyone is braking so everyone does brake (I travel west in the morning). Now we have "sprung ahead" wo in a couple of weeks we get to go through the sun rise adjustment period again. :arg

Yep--I leave about 45 minutes after you, and the rising sun just causes a lot of braking; it should only last for a week or so as the sun will get higher in the sky, but it is a pain now.

then again, I bet it won't be a problem tomorrow--at least in this area.

Yup. I'll be out having fun plowing, snowblowing and shoveling. I like the snow.
Maybe I'll make a snow angel too.
and a snowman snowperson.

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

Another busy night at all the British henge sites as staff work all night to move the stones forward by an hour.

Still not a fan. But, with the first cherry blossoms in my neighborhood and a 70-degree day around the corner, I do cheer for this:

OK. Now tell us just where this is. It looks to me like it ought to be some state capital. The sculpture near the bottom looks very interesting, but the overhead view kind of makes it hard to figure out. An artist/painter friend of mine told me painting was easy, compared to sculpture. The painting only had to look good from straight on.

The WaPo about a week ago said the weather had probably messed up the cherry blossoms for DC this year.
