Stephen King gets a touch of the Peter Benchley's

Neither do you, gracias.

So you admit you have no evidence to support this claim. Thanks.loCAtek wrote:Not to do a sport, they've never engaged in, nor expressed a wish to engage in before; on a continent, they've never visited
Unlike you, I made no claims I could not support. When it was pointed out to me that I made a mistake, I accepted the correction in good grace. That doesn't appear to be something you are capable of.

And since she was too drunk to remember her own post within minutes of making it, it's no longer sporting to shoot at the fish in this barrel.

..so he/she remains hypocritical ...and unnecessarily adversarial.

You mean like you making a big deal about not being given Meade's contact info to send a donation, when you had already admitted you had no money to spare?

Goal post change; can you address the point?

You've been too drunk to see the point, so why bother?

We're a surfing town here but thank goodness we don't really have sharks.
There have been great white sightings off of the Cape the last few summers. If anything like that happened to our surfers peoples heads would explode.

The author Stephen King is a fair bit older than 50.
I have been reading a lot about sharks eating people in Australian waters; I might skip bringing my swimsuit.

Wait... So this guy who was attacked isn't Stephen King the author?

Why is it that when Miley Cyrus gets naked and licks a hammer it's 'art' and 'edgy' but when I do it I'm 'drunk' and 'banned from the hardware store'?

Nope. We are all victims of an overly creative thread title.

It's a Stephen king!

Re: Stephen King gets a touch of the Peter Benchley's
Among many of his other books, I have read the non-fictional 'Danse Macabre' by Stephen King, in which he describes what influenced his stories. Many scenarios of his books are based on his real life experiences; the town of Castle Rock, a common location in his works, while fictional, is said to be in Maine.
Prior to 'On Writing: A Memoir of the Craft', probably the closest thing to an autobiography of his is 'Stand by Me'. Where he says the swimming in a swamp with his friends, only to discover it's filled with leeches; really happened to him, and he's still left with the bite scar on his [ya know].
While Stephen King goes to many lengths to research the backgrounds of his story topics; not in Danse Macabre, nor in any of his books, can I recall a situation that involved ocean surfing.

Apparently the resident 'SK expert' hasn't read 'Night Surf', the germinal story behind The Stand.
I've read everything King's ever written - at least twice.
