Maybe we're the only people who ever saw the movie.

Probably - I never saw it and have no idea what Errol Flynn had to do with it...

I'm beginning to think so...

If you'd seen the movie that clue should be a dead giveaway...

If nobody gets it by later today, I'll post the answer, and try a new quote with a different film...

I really didn't think this would be all the that tough since it stars a very major Hollywood actor...

But next time I'll go with something really easy... :P

Jim--in the hopes of moving it along, one other hint I will offer is that the movie was later turned into a Broadway musical that lasted only a couple of months or less.

I saw this movie about 30 times on HBO when it was released to cable in 1983; my brother was the keeper-of-the-remote and he loved it, I loved it too. I think it's Peter O'Toole's best movie next to Lawrence of Arabia.

After the "I'm not an actor, I'm a movie star" clue, I remembered it was Peter O'Toole, but couldn't for the life of me remember the name of the movie.

When I was a teenager I had a friend named Sue who lived down the street from my grandparents on the Cape, where I spent all summer. Her mom was a divorced lady with some interesting friends but what struck me most about her was that every night she went to bed with Gone With the Wind playing in the VCR and I thought, 'how sad to fall asleep to the same movie night after night . . . I hope I never grow up to be like that.'

Then I became a middle-aged single woman with insomnia and started falling asleep many nights to my all-time favorite movie:

I fell in love with this movie when it played in the theatres, when I was 14 years old. It recently occurred to me that the reason I loved it so much wasn't really the love story, but the story of a fiercely independent woman who sought adventure and didn't back down from fear. I still think this is one of Meryl Streep's best roles ever, and I love all of her work. She didn't get an Oscar for it, that went to another amazing actress is a very low-key but beautiful film released the same year. Bonus points if you can name that, Big RR. ;)

OK, a new one:

A: Before we begin, I'd like to state what I believe to be a universal truth: the darker races are attracted to the fairer, but not vice-versa.

B: Even when the lady is LESS attractive than the gentleman?

I know the answer to this one, and even though I'm qualified to compete for this question, I've won so many times (second I believe, only to Big RR...our resident Gene Siskel... 8-) ) I'm going to wait and give somebody else a chance... :)
