Does that mean Ray was closer?

Does that mean if no more guesses Ray gets it?
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.

Pat Priest? She has now almost complete "81 trips around the block" in the Munster Mobile.

I think my arrested development is getting worse.

Is it "Hellraiser II"?

ETA: (If it wasn't obvious, the character who delivers that last line I quoted is The Villain. And the movie was released within the last decade.)

No more guesses?

More clues later. I may just have to give up on this one, and try something else.

Okay, if no one gets it by tomorrow afternoon, I'll give up and try another movie.

Three more clues. First, an expansion of the first quote:
  • A — Memory thread one. Listen to the following passage. "Lilly awoke in an evening dress and opera cloak. In her hand were five playing cards."
    • B — Is this a joke?

A — "They were, the queen of spades, four of clubs, nine of clubs, three of hearts, nine of hearts."

    • B — Is this a Red Flag exercise?

A — End of thread one. Thread two. The following is a recording of a Western Screech Owl.

    [audio of owl]

A — End of thread two. End of pattern. Acknowledge.
    • B — Acknowledge end of pattern.

A — Stand by to initiate pattern recall.

    • B — Go for pattern recall.

A — Arrange the five playing cards in order of descending value, irrespective of suit.

    • B — Queen, two nines, four and a three.

A — That is correct. The passage I read contained mention of a woman's name. What was that name?

    • B — Her name was Lilly.

A — That is correct. Recall my name.

    • B — Goodwin. Your name's Goodwin.

A — That is correct. Welcome back.
That should be plenty, but I'll give you this, too, just because I like it:
    • B — Christina, what would you do if you knew you had less than one minute to live?

    C — I'd make those seconds count.

    • B — I'd kiss you again.

    C — Again???

    [he kisses her]
The third clue is that the director of this movie is by no means unknown, but his own fame is far eclipsed by his father's fame.

Just guessing here, but given the frequent use of the word 'recall' in the expanded quote, is this "Total Recall"?

That one about the veteran in an experimental lab reliving the bomb on the train to Chicago. He was anxious to get out of the task and return to combat with his comrades. He keeps meeting the same woman on the train when he's repeatedly sent back to try and identify the bomber so the authorities can prevent the incident. I saw it when it came out and watched part of it yesterday while changing stations from Wimbledon tennis to Sportscenter. What was it? Turns out he was a quadriplegic or something like that. Does that count or do I have to remember the title????

No doubt about it Econo; you're a great source for clues...

(I know this one, but we've got a busy weekend so I really don't want to have keep checking this thread for guesses on a new movie)

Another nice thing about Econo's clues is that they're very straightforward; they're not in any sort of code...

Meade's got everything except the title...and Jim is doing his best to give him (or anyone else who wants to step in) the title...

Hm. What to do, what to do?

Oh, well...for now I'll take the lazy man's choice and just sit back and do nothing for a while. :shrug
