It's a fun film; I definitely recommend it.BoSoxGal wrote:I’ve heard that was Debbie Reynolds’s favorite and best role; I really need to watch it sometime.

And now they're both dead.

Seems like the only one who knew this one could not answer it.

Time to reverse course, and go with one that nearly everyone has seen:
Don't you get sick of being right all the time?
Re: Name That Movie!
No I don’t
Was there a clue?

Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.
Re: Name That Movie!
thanks for giving the title of the earlier film LR; I finally looked it up when I knew I wouldn't remember. As I recall, it is a pretty good film.
Re your clue, I will wait my customary 24 hours, but I'd be surprised if it takes that long.

Re: Name That Movie!
This movie is pretty much a quote factory, so finding one that isn't obvious is a challenge:
Well we're back in business boys and girls, just like the old days.
Re: Name That Movie!
As I walked today from the car to work, I felt rain drops falling on my head. Next quote:
S: Hey, what are you doin'?
B: Stealin' your woman?
S: [pause] Take her.
S: Take her.
B: Well, you're a romantic bastard, I'll give you that.
PLEASE, Please, please...Name That Movie! PLEASE.

Re: Name That Movie!
After the raindrops hint, it became obvious that the movie is Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.
Mrs Mc went to college at Durango CO where much of the movie was filmed. Skiiing was offered for Phys Ed credit. They even had a rope ski lift on campus, later graduating to a real mountain. She liked to point out places that appeared in the movie on subsequent trips to the area. The train they used was one of several owed and operated by the Durango and Silverton railroad on excursion trips between those two towns.

The scenes with the trains didn't look like narrow-gauge to me. I'll have to look more closely next time I see it on late-night TV.MGMcAnick wrote:The train they used was one of several owed and operated by the Durango and Silverton railroad on excursion trips between those two towns.

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

Who are those guys?

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid was the correct answer -- take it away MGMcAnick

Let's try this. It's old enough to have been seen by darned near everyone, unlike my last stab at this game which was only a year or so old.
I'm leaving out seven words before this point as they'd make it a dead giveaway.

Save time BB. Check this out. It lists several locations used on the film. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0064115/loc ... _=tt_dt_dtBicycle Bill wrote:The scenes with the trains didn't look like narrow-gauge to me. I'll have to look more closely next time I see it on late-night TV.
In addition to the D&S railroad, it lists Trimble Bridge, Animas River, Colorado, USA. The "cliff" that they jumped off of was a rock that is no more than 20 feet high. Camera trickery anyone. "I can't swim." "Don't worry, the fall will probably kill you."
THAT'S NOT MY QUOTE ENTRY. SEE ABOVE.

Wow, no guesses? Give you a hint, I saw it the summer I was five. It appears on TV annually.
