Name That Movie!
Re: Name That Movie!
I'll think of it soon. It's right on the tip of my tongue...

Re: Name That Movie!
OK Joe, now I'm thinking my guess is correct--I know I didn't see the movie, but I think I did see a coming attraction that includes one of the quotes.
PLEASE, Please, please... Name That Movie!
I'm pretty sure you're messin' with me. OK... one more clue. This should clear things up.Joe Guy wrote:I'll think of it soon. It's right on the tip of my tongue...

WTF... doesn't anyone play this game seriously?
Alrighty then, let's try this. (So you know, I'm using initials rather than full names. I don't want to give it away completely.)
Two senior citizens, 'J' and 'E', are taking their own sweet time riding along the highway in their classic 1974 Winnebago Indian RV:
"J -- Did you fart? E -- Excuse me? J -- You did! E -- What are you talking about? You can’t say that!"

Didn't another thread recently give us the mote and beam allegory. In my experience a lot of people missed that day at Sunday School.RayThom wrote:WTF... doesn't anyone play this game seriously?

Yikes! No correct answers so far. This must be a real stumper.
OK... one last clue. (This line is from a scene where 'J' and 'R' are confronted by a couple of ne'er-do-wells on a deserted stretch of highway.)
"If you hurt him I’ll shoot you both. And if you think we’re afraid you’re dead wrong. I - no, we -- have nothing to lose. So drop the knives, you hooligans."
PS. I can post a new clue daily if necessary. However, I'll reveal the answer on April 31st if no one gets it by then.

Gee, that seems a little, uh, excessive...I'll reveal the answer on April 31st if no one gets it by then.

Ah, that's more like it. I feel movement in the right direction.
Is another clue necessary? OK, a teaser.: "J -- That’s him?..."

You’re sensing a movement? I hope you’re like Gob and posting from the loo or things could get messy.
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.
Re: Name That Movie!
Most of these films appear to be guilty pleasures, pleasures you have to look real hard for like in the kids game where everyone except "It" hides.

Nothing yet? OK -- one last clue. This is spoken by "W" the son of "J" and "E". (This should be all you need.)
"W -- I know that it’s better than wandering around God-knows-where in a creaky camper. But you know best, I guess, because you talked to Dad, and you two are thick-as-thieves, even when he doesn’t even remember who we are.

I'm so close but I just can't quite remember the correct word combination....
