Name That Movie!
Re: Name That Movie!
That's the name of the movie, as I recall.
Re: Name That Movie!
I vote that people should provide the movie poster when answering, like BoSoxGal does.

BSG--well, if you're going to insist on that, I suggest only the real movie posters be used, not something for a Criterion DVD like you posted. I think this should be a real poster (if it works); otherwise, the link will lead to one.

Re: Name That Movie!
Okay, that works for me! This thread is a source of new entries on my 'to watch' list - in fact, I've watched a few of the films already and have been pretty impressed. I'm going to have to try to find this one, because I adore Malcolm McDowell, especially when he was young and HOT, HOT, HOT!

Maybe I didn't like it all that much because I wanted the victory to be complete. All we got was the fade out and 'if'

Actually the title is "If...."Big RR wrote:OK, I really thought you had me stumped.
Re Dales quote, and your mention of Malcom, I would guess "If".

Mildred Pierce? (I don't think they would have said "good sex" in the 40s, though)

For some reason I was captivated by this movie and have seen it several times:Big RR wrote:New quote:

BSG has it; and it is a great film; my favorite that year (2011 I think).

Sounds like a chick flick or one of those Robin Williams feel-good ones

Hey LJ - I edited my post to correct that awful apostrophe faux pas. Can you edit your quote of the original so that no one notices?

Re: Name That Movie!
I don't know if you would classify the movie as a chick flick, but it's recent and think Academy Award winning.

Re: Name That Movie!
I would call it a romantic comedy, however, wouldn't you BSG?
Re: Name That Movie!
Yes, I think it is classified as a 'rom-com' - but one more tolerable to men perhaps than the average 'chick flick'? Several Academy Award nominations, one win for performance.
