Name That Movie!
Re: Name That Movie!
Btw Jim did you get it at the first clue?
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.
Re: Name That Movie!
Yes.

I was thinking about using a quote from this movie myself...

Re: Name That Movie!
That scene in and of itself demonstrates the genius of the movie taking the completely absurd and playing it so completely straight that both the actions and the reactions become believable.
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.
Re: Name That Movie!
That was posted after the second clue Jim.

Ahh, I see now...
I missed the first one...
No, I don't think I would have gotten it after just that...(though I recall it now)

Re: Name That Movie!
It was like watching my neighbors build a new house in a single day, and they did almost everything right. As the sun set, I took a seat on my front step and regarded the house, and it was good: the foundation was level, the walls were square, and the roof was the perfect pitch. Unfortunately, they built the house out of fish, rather than brick and wood. So, there I sit, looking at the house, and knowing that it is going to stink to high heaven after the sun comes up tomorrow

Okay, time's up:

If you like the old 50's low-budget sci-fi flicks and haven't seen it, definitely check it out...
Here's what I said it about it on this board a while back:

I stumbled across a really good parody of those cheesy fifties and early sixties sci-fi flicks on one of the HBO channels a couple of weeks ago....
The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra
It was made in 2001, but it really captured, the look, feel, and bad acting and dialogue of those B movies to a tee...the film makers and the actors really nailed it...
If you didn't know you were watching a parody, it would probably take you a good while to realize it....(which to me is the hallmark of good satire)

Re: Name That Movie!
First time I stumbled on it the only way I "knew" was the black and white was just a little too crisp.
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.
