Which means it's time again for that most time honored of Christmas traditions...

I'm speaking of course of The Christmas Season Novelty Song...

Nothing says, "Happy Birthday Jesus" quite like The Dogs Barking Jingle Bells, or Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer...

So in The Spirit of The Season, I offer a couple of my favorites to get the ball rolling, (and I invite yours):

First, the timeless classic:

And a big favorite here in 'Frisco:

Thanks for posting that Scooter, it's been years since I've heard that one. (Alan Sherman was great.)

Of course as a Canadian, I thought you might have posted this version of The Twelve Days Of Christmas: 8-)

Someone please explain to me why I can NEVER get the freaking youtube button to work. I use the freaking part after the v= just like it says but it never works. *&^#@!

Anyway this is a favorite: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t039p6xqutU&html5=1

And of course: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8u_c1oyaClU&html5=1

If there is an "&" in it like t039p6xqutU&html5=1, then you should only copy and paste what is between the = and the &.

See how much you miss out on when you don't read my posts...?

I had never seen that video version of Christmas at Ground Zero @W, that was perfect... :)

I'm going to go ahead re-post it:

Also:

It took me a while to get the hang of the Youtube embedding thing too...

If there is an "&" in it like t039p6xqutU&html5=1, then you should only copy and paste what is between the first = and the &.

Joe explained it which is kind of like shouting in a vacuum. You have to eliminate the = and all before it AND the & and all after it

So v=t039p6xqutU&html5=1 would look like this

youtube]t039p6xqutU[/youtube

except obviously I had to take the [ ] from the start and end of the example. If I didn't take the brackets away it would look like this:

Yes Gen'l...

I make it about 7 hours before you did... :P

But that's okay, as a cricket and Leonard Nimoy Cohen fan, I realize that you live your life in slo-mo... :nana
