Harmful to a double-coated dog like this one.... shaving is a no-no

We have had our lab sheared down several summers and she has not suffered as a result. She doesn't lay out in the sun nor does she get in water.

We brush our lab at least once a week. More during spring and fall when his coat is changing.

I bet the shaving is the result of a broken marriage and the X-wife did it (because she was quite cross).
