Cornish Tourism Advert (hard sell)

“If you trust in yourself, and believe in your dreams, and follow your star. . . you'll still get beaten by people who spent their time working hard and learning things and weren't so lazy.”

For me, it is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring.

What does it say about the British psyche that adverts are aimed to belittle and humiliate the prospective consumer? Odd, that. Twisted sense of humor? Stronger egos than USians, for certain!

I think they must all be fake... inserts made by jesters since they don't seem to actually advertise anything worthwhile (and are besides unpleasant and moronic)...
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

True, and so far as I know no Brit would have all that ice in his/her whiskey. It looks like 5 cubes.
I recall once when I was in Scotland a colleague of mine asked at the pub for ice in his whiskey; the bartender looked straight at him and said "Where do you think I'd be getting ice on a hot day like this?"

I put the cube count at three. Two on the bottom, one on top of them.
But I could be wrong
I preffered my bourbon/whiskey/rot gut straight out of the bottle. No glass, no ice, no middle man container. Less chance to have waisted that little drop that seeems to stay in every container you poor the booze in. Never leave any booze behind
